About Me
Hi, I’m Jane – the person behind Jane Johnson Jewelry.
Born and raised in Kansas, I married my wonderful husband and together we built our home and raised our daughter who now has her own family. Along the way we used our variety of skills to work in the jobs that would bring us to the point in our lives where we could do what we wanted to all the time. I have been a cosmetologist, an orthodontic assistant, secretary, and software support tech all before retiring as a computer tech with the local school district. All those jobs led me here. All technical and interesting to me.
Now, we enjoy being with and helping family, especially grandkids, also friends and neighbors. We love to help with building projects or anything else where an extra hand is needed. It is amazing how busy you can stay with all of it, everything from painting to building fences, re-siding a home, to sewing and generally supporting the community we live in. We are very thankful to be able to help. We also love dogs, other animals and being outdoors.
In my spare time, I love finding pretty rocks and setting them in silver. I was introduced to silversmithing in high school and always thought I would love to do more with it. Finally, soon after retiring, I took another class and started making silver jewelry for myself, family members, and friends! My husband was supportive and shared his tools with me to help me get started. Now my little silversmithing shop is well established in our garage, and friends and family have encouraged me to start selling my jewelry pieces, especially since I can’t stop making it! So here I am.
I feel blessed to have something that I love to do!
Jane
